Investing in local communities for the future

At Norse Homes, we believe that building homes is about more than just construction,  it’s about creating thriving, connected communities. Working closely with local residents, community centres, groups, and schools is at the heart of everything we do.

We are committed to supporting and engaging with the communities surrounding each of our developments, ensuring that our projects positively contribute to the people who live there. By listening, collaborating, and investing in local initiatives, we aim to create places where individuals and families can truly feel at home.

From supporting local schools and community programmes to partnering with organisations that make a difference, Norse Homes takes pride in playing an active role beyond the build. These values are fundamental to who we are, and we strive to ensure that every development strengthens and supports

Nottingham Community Housing Association

Norse Homes has worked in partnership with Nottingham Community Housing Association to deliver affordable housing schemes that respond directly to local need.

Borrowash, Derbyshire

At Borrowash, we worked with NCHA on a thoughtfully planned development of 29 high-quality affordable homes off Harrington Avenue.
The scheme was designed to create a welcoming neighbourhood, with a focus on community, energy-efficient living and long-term affordability.
The development supports a range of residents, including families, professionals and people looking to remain connected to local amenities, schools and transport links.

Boughton, Nottinghamshire

At Boughton, Norse Homes is working with NCHA to deliver 28 affordable homes at Bishops Court, The Heathers.

The development includes 10 one-bedroom apartments, 17 two-bedroom homes and one three-bedroom house, helping to meet a range of local housing needs.

Built to EPC A energy-efficiency standards, the scheme places a strong focus on comfort, affordability and long-term performance for residents.

Together with NCHA, the development represents a meaningful investment in the local area, helping to strengthen the Boughton community for years to come.

Schools, Amenities and Local Services

Schools, village amenities and local services are an important part of how each development connects with its wider community.

Many of our schemes are located close to primary schools, shops, pubs, community facilities, countryside walks and public transport links.

These local features help shape the appeal of each development and support our aim of creating places that work for everyday life.

Across our projects, we consider:

  • Access to local schools and family facilities
  • Nearby shops and everyday amenities
  • Public transport and road connections
  • Links to surrounding towns and cities
  • Access to green space and countryside
  • The existing character and rhythm of village life

This helps ensure each development feels connected, practical and well placed for future residents.

Building with Purpose

Working with communities is central to how Norse Homes approaches development.

Whether delivering affordable homes with Nottingham Community Housing Association, working with Pelham Homes on village schemes, or creating private developments in carefully selected locations, our aim is always to build with care, quality and long-term value in mind.

Every project is an opportunity to create more than new homes. It is a chance to support local places, strengthen communities and deliver developments that residents will be proud to be part of.
